Riyadh’s Hilton Hotels, which is affiliated with Abdul Mohsen Al Hokair Group for Tourism and Development, participated in a culinary competition during the Saudi International Exhibition for Food, Beverage & Hospitality (SAUDI HORECA 2016) which is the biggest annual hospitality exhibition in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East that will be held for the sixth consecutive year in Saudi Arabia.
The culinary competitions were assessed by a panel of nine well-renowned international chefs. The participating chefs had the opportunity to choose from 20 recipes and compete until they reached the top three chefs, who will receive a gold, a silver and a bronze medal. The Culinary Salon is truly a great opportunity to introduce new products and explore the market, since the exhibition is attended by many who are interested in the food,beverage and hospitality sector.
The crowned chef Mohammed Mustafa from Double Hotel by Hilton Riyadh - Al Muroj Business Gate won the golden medal for his seafood dish and the silver medal for his burger, in addition to chef Ibrahim Mustafa winning the silver medal for the best meat dish and the best burger.
Chef Faraj Ali of the Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya also participated in the competition and won the bronze medal for carving sculpture out of vegetables and fruits.
This exhibition is very significant since it allows for the exchange of experiences and expertise amongst local and international companies in the food,beverage and hospitality sector, as well as hosting a culinary competitions that are assessed by an international judging panel.
