Al-Hokair, Strategic Sponsor of the First Entertainment and Tourism Exhibition

 

 

With the participation of many companies and competent authorities, an entertainment and tourism exhibition was launched in the capital city of Riyadh, under the auspices of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Hokair Group, Mr. Majid bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Hokair 

 

Expressing his happiness with the participation of Al-Hokair as strategic sponsor of the First Entertainment and Tourism Exhibition, Majid Al- Hokair explained that the effective consolidation of the role of tourism in the community and its importance as a vital resource in the national economy is only second following the resource of oil. 

 

He said that the Kingdom hosts many tourist regions that attract visitors from international and domestic destinations abroad and across the Kingdom. "National bodies concerned with tourism, especially the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), each have great potential in serving this vital sector, with this exhibition being one of the most important exhibitions, which includes many events and forums offering information to Saudi and foreign Arab families. 

 

He stressed that the Kingdom, with more than 1,675 cultural heritage sites proves its significance in the local tourism industry, with such examples as Madain Saleh and the villages of Fao and Al-Akhdoud, located next to museums, buildings and architectural heritage sites. The sites are producers of traditional crafts, industries, and markets, as well as contain desert heritage areas. In addition, other coastal regions in the Kingdom, along the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf, offer diving and among the most beautiful beaches in the region. 

 

"Tourism is the internal promise of investments that are awaiting for investors wishing to contribute to its development, especially since the Kingdom's tourist areas are rich in many of the elements of interesting tourism activities. In terms of completeness of the infrastructure and the availability of a large "superstructure" in the tourism sector, the Kingdom possesses a multiplicity of components and tourist sites, exceeding more than 10,000 sites. In addition, Saudi Arabia has a network of major roads exceeding, 22,000 kilometers as well as more than 26 international airports, both domestically and regionally," Al-Hokair said. 

 

For his part, Khaled Al-Khozmra, Director of Public Relations of Al-Jeyad Al-Oula, a firm that organizes conferences and exhibitions, stated that the services sector and customized tourism products in the Arab region, especially in Saudi Arabia is witnessing remarkable growth in its role in the tourism sector and its focus on highlighting its role concerning economic, social and cultural aspects.

 

He further pointed out that the Al-Jeyad Al-Oula Company for exhibitions and conferences, after careful consideration of the reality of local market conditions has launched a showcase called "For Tourism and Entertainment," which includes stands and presentations concerning the various tourism and entertainment sectors, including tourism and travel companies, major hotels, restaurants, leasing companies and colleges and institutes specializing in the field of tourism and hospitality, health spas, and others.
